Western Projects within the Framework of Competition in International Economic Relations to Counter the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative: (The European-Indian Economic Corridor - The Israeli Dawood Corridor) as a Case Study

Abstract

International economic relations have experienced a paradigm shift over the last decade، characterized by the proliferation of transcontinental infrastructure initiatives. These projects have fundamentally reconfigured the global trade landscape and triggered intense geostrategic competition among the major powers، The most prominent of these undertakings is China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)، which was launched to resuscitate the ancient Silk Road and establish China as a pivotal nexus for worldwide commercial flows، This effort significantly enhances Beijing's economic and political leverage across vast swathes of Asia، Africa، and Europe، In response to this rising Chinese influence، Western nations، spearheaded by the United States، have commenced proposing strategic alternatives intended to restore economic and geopolitical equilibrium، This vision has culminated in the European Economic Corridor Project and the India-Israel David Corridor، Both aim to expedite supply chain connectivity between Asia and Europe، offering a more resilient، logistically flexible، and temporally efficient alternative trade route، Crucially they seek to forge an economic and strategic consortium that institutionalizes collaboration among member states، thereby serving as a direct countervailing force to China's escalating expansion of influence and impact.
